Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to common queries about Elbowa Web3, our blockchain infrastructure, and our vision for decentralized social interaction.
Core Concepts
Elbowa Web3 addresses centralization issues in social media by providing blockchain-based identity ownership, tokenized content rights, and decentralized governance. Users maintain full control over their data while earning through on-chain contributions.
Elbowa Web3 runs directly on blockchain with no central moderation. Posts exist permanently on IPFS, users own their reputation through tokens, and community governance determines platform policies via DAO voting.
The protocol itself is censorship-resistant, but communities can self-regulate through on-chain reputation systems. While we can't remove content, we support community reporting and decentralized moderation tools.
Technical Aspects
Our mainnet operates on Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) compatible chains, with experimental Solana bridges. We also use IPFS for decentralized content storage and Filecoin for incentivized hosting.
Transaction finality averages 3-5 seconds with Ethereum layer-2 solutions, and content delivery times vary based on IPFS node availability. We're actively implementing zk-Rollup protocols to further reduce latency.
Community & Governance
Token holders create and vote on governance proposals through our native dApp. Voting power equals token amount × 30-day lockup multiplier. Results are automatically executed via smart contracts when approval threshold is reached.
We recommend using multi-signature wallets with cold storage. If compromised, users can initiate a 'social recovery' by providing verified identity documents through our on-chain notary service.
