The Transgender Pride Flag
Symbolism
The transgender pride flag was designed by Monica Helms in 1999. The flag consists of five horizontal stripes: light blue, pink, white, pink, and light blue. The light blue stripes represent the traditional color for baby boys, the pink stripes represent the traditional color for baby girls, and the white stripe represents non-binary or intersex individuals.
The flag is a symbol of solidarity and support for the transgender community. It is often displayed at pride parades and other events celebrating diversity and inclusivity.
