From Sunrise to Sunset: Protectinging the Silent Giants

Volunteers start each day with habitat assessments before dawn. This snapshot captures the first survey of the day.

Morning Routine

Tracking elephants

Before the sun is up, volunteers prepare tracking equipment and check camera traps for the night's elephant activity captures.

7:00 AM - 8:00 AM

The morning begins with safety briefings and equipment checks with our conservation rangers.

Midday Activities

Planting trees

Volunteers spend mid-morning restoring native tree species along key elephant migration routes.

10:30 AM - 12:00 PM
Anti-poaching training

Lunch breaks are spent in anti-poachin training exercises with local rangers.

Afternoon Tasks

Camera setup

Setting up new camera traps to monitor waterhole activity in key habitats.

Data collection

Afternoon is spent collecting and uploading data on elephant behaviors and habitat changes.

Evening Wrap-Up

Group debrief

Evening briefings review the day's findings and plan for tomorrow's activities.
