Technique for Hybrid Art Creation
I'm experimenting with combining painted textures and digital brushes. Does anyone have recommendations for software or tools that allow seamless integration of both mediums? Also, how do you maintain resolution when merging layers?

Try using Krita's layer blending modes - the Multiply mode works especially well for digital inks over scanned textures. For resolution, make sure all paint layers are at least 300 dpi.
Tip: Use a Wacom tablet for pressure sensitivity when digitizing brush strokes

I recommend scanning watercolor at 600dpi, then using Photoshop with non-destructive Smart Objects. The Dry Brush layer effect can simulate traditional texture overlays.
- Use Clipping Masks for color blending
- Keep scanned textures in separate folders
- Try the Pen and Ink brushes in Procreate
