Founded in 1999
Established with a seed grant from the International Historical Society to digitize 1,000 manuscripts. Now we preserve over 12 million documents.

Preservation Process
Digitization
Using 24MP cameras and specialized lighting, we create ultra-high-resolution scans at 600dpi for archival storage.
Metadata
Each document is cataloged with comprehensive metadata including historical context and provenance information.
Storage
Files are preserved using open standard formats and maintained in triple-redundant storage facilities.
Major Milestones
2005
Launched the first digital archive platform allowing public access to ancient documents from Mesopotamia.
2013
Acquired $8M grant to digitize WWII correspondence between soldiers and their families worldwide.
2020
Launched AI-powered transcription service making 20 million handwritten documents searchable.
