Contribution Guidelines
Before submitting a PR or GitHub issue, take a few moments to review the below guidelines:
- Check existing issue/PR for the same problem or idea before opening a new one.
- Read the documentation to avoid duplicate or obsolete PRs and issues.
- Use GitHub Discussions to ask questions or discuss high-level ideas before submitting code or a PR.
- Use descriptive titles and explain the problem/feature you're solving in detail.
We follow semantic contribution labels in the GitHub repository to classify contribution types like bugfix, docs, refactor, chore, feature — it helps us prioritize and manage the flow of changes.
All contributions go through a review and testing phase before being accepted. That said, your work helps make Tailwind better for everyone — and we really appreciate it!
