The Minister of Infrastructure today announced a $12 billion investment in renewable energy projects and community transportation upgrades.

Key Investment Areas

This initiative will focus on modernizing public transit systems, expanding renewable energy infrastructure, and improving community connectivity through smart city technologies.

Priority Goals:

  • 100 new solar energy projects across all provinces
  • Modernization of 15 major transit systems
  • Internet access upgrades for 50 remote communities

Phased Implementation

The $12 billion investment will be rolled out in three key phases:

Phase 1

Initial funding allocation and project planning (Q4 2025)

Phase 2

Infrastructure development and implementation (2026-2028)

Phase 3

Community evaluation and ongoing improvements (2029)
