Project #4

Augmented Reality for Everyday Use

Enhancing daily experiences with intuitive AR layers that adapt to context, environment, and individual needs in real-time.

Overview

This project explores how augmented reality can enrich everyday life by overlaying contextual information, interactive elements, and adaptive interfaces onto the physical world. Our focus is on creating AR experiences that feel as natural as breathing - always relevant, never intrusive.

Environmental

Spatial awareness of surroundings

Behavioral

Intelligent contextual adaptation

Evolving

Self-modifying AR overlays

Key Features

Contextual Layers

The system overlays spatial information tailored to your location and activities, whether you're walking through a city or working in an office.

Intuitive Interaction

Natural gestures recognition and voice control allow seamless interaction with augmented content without disrupting daily routines.

Dynamic Adaptation

AR content evolves based on your usage patterns, learning what information is most valuable and adjusting transparency, size, and density accordingly.

Private by Design

Data usage is designed for privacy - no location or activity tracking without explicit user permission, and all processing done locally when possible.

Implementation

Tech Stack

AR.js Three.js TensorFlow.js PoseNet

How it Works

We use computer vision and gesture recognition to map interactive areas in the environment. The system dynamically updates AR overlays based on spatial context and user behavior through machine learning models running directly in the browser.

  • Real-time spatial mapping of visible environment
  • Gesture recognition with PoseNet tracking
  • Local machine learning for fast adaptation
  • Context-aware information overlay system
  • Privacy-first data handling
