Troubleshoot Two-Factor Authentication

Solve common issues with two-factor authentication codes, apps, and recovery options.

Common Problems & Solutions

1. "Invalid Code" Error

Check if your authenticator app is synchronized. If using a hardware key, ensure it's fully charged and properly connected.

Fix: Re-synchronize your authenticator app or temporarily disable and re-enable 2FA in your account settings.

2. App Not Responding

Restart the authenticator app or device. Ensure the app has permission to access your device's clock.

Fix: Reinstall the authenticator app while ensuring correct QR code scanning during setup.

3. Lost Access Device

Use your backup recovery codes or enable 2FA using a new device with the same account.

Fix: Access 2FA Setup to manage devices directly in your account settings.

Advanced Troubleshooting

Time Sync Issues

Authenticator apps depend on accurate device time. If your time is out of sync by more than 1 minute, codes will fail.

Manual Code Re-entry

If the QR code scan fails, manually enter the 2FA key during setup, found in your account's 2FA settings.
